Get up close to the world’s highest mountain and transverse the spirituality of Buddhism on the Everest Base Camp Trek. The Everest Base Camp Trek is both adventurous and spiritual. You get to transverse through the Himalayan landscape passing through lush forest and glacial plains.
You get panoramic views of Everest (8,848.86 meters),Lhotse (8,516 meters), Nuptse (7,861 meters), and Ama Dablam (6,812 meters), among many others.The trek also allows you to understand why Sherpas closely connect with nature.The journey resembles a pilgrimage because of Buddhism elements along the trails.
The Everest Base Camp Trek takes 17 days to complete. Flight to Lukla will be on the second day, accompanied by a hike to Phakding.You will reach Namche on the third day, passing several suspension bridges. Lively encounters with both yaks and Sherpas will make your day.On the tenth day, you will trek through Khumjung, Tyangboche, Pangboche, Dingboche, Thukla, and Labuche to reach Gorakshep and then ultimately trek to the Base Camp.
These places offer a visit to many ancient Buddhist monasteries. For instance, Tyangboche has the biggest monastery in the Khumbu region. Pangboche has an old monastery. It also has the highest located primary school which you will visit. Likewise, Labuche has a memorial park of climbers where you will pay homage to the fallen climbers. Here the paths to EBC and the three-pass trek separate.
Today is the day all this momentum has been building along – the ultimate trek to EBC through Gorakshep. The Khumbu Icefall and the Khumbu Tse (6,636 meters) are beautifully visible from EBC. Today, you will be amazed by the sunrise view of Kalapatthar. The view of Everest bathed in the morning glory will be a lifetime memory. Now we hike back to Lukla, which will take three days passing through Phortse and Jorsale. You can also give Phortse wall climbing a try.
You will fly back to Kathmandu the next day. On the sixteenth day, you will spend shopping and sightseeing.On the seventeenth day, you will return to your home.
Accommodation and meals
Staying in Kathmandu will be standard room with bed and breakfast plan and simple teahouse during the trekking. We will have dinner and breakfast in teahouse and lunch on the way. In Kathmandu, only breakfast is included. For Lunch and dinner you can calculated about 10-15 dollar per meal.
Our goal is to make the tour successful, enjoyable and memorable. That is why we hire very experienced, helpful and skillful trekking leader as well as trekking crews. The Trekking leader should take trekking guide training, wilderness first aid training, knowledge of flora and Fauna as well as strong communication skills.
Similarly we hire mostly trekking crews from local areas. They are well paid. Their food, accommodation and equipment are arranged by company.
The personal travel insurance is compulsory when you travel to Nepal. It should cover minimum high altitude sickness, accident, illness and stolen, lost and delayed baggage. you should know that where you are trekking or climbing and how high are the trekking routes are and the policy should cover the evacuation by the Helicopter in emergency. We do not arrange travel insurance of travelling partner. We organize only the insurance of trekking crews.
