Mardi Himal Short Trek

The Madri Himal Short Trek explores the trails in the Annapurna region of Nepal and is situated towards the east of Modi Khola across the valley from Hiunchuli.  The Trek is unique and provides an off-the-beaten-path trekking experience.

The difficulty level of the trek is moderate and requires an average of 10 days to complete. The Mardi Himal Short Trek requires a good level of physical fitness. The trekkers cross through dense Rhododendron forests and a variety of vegetation, charming villages, and terraced fields before reaching the Madri Himal Base camp at an elevation of around 4500m. To get the most out of this experience trekkers are suggested to backpack through the region during the months of March to May or September to December.

The picturesque adventure of Mardi Himal will also be completely soaked with views of snowcapped peaks and stunning views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchre (Mt. Fishtail). This short trek is a less crowded alternative to the more popular treks in the region like Annapurna Circuit Trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek and also offers an opportunity to experience the serene and peaceful life of the local people.

Enclosed by majestic snow-covered mountain peaks, the Mardi Himal trek is perfect for those who want to explore the beauty of the Himalayas in a secluded and peaceful environment. The trekkers encounter diverse landscapes, from subtropical forests to high-altitude alpine terrain and glaciers witnessing the world from a fresh point of view.

The Mardi Himal trek opened in 2012, following a ridge toward the summit. The trek ensures exposure to the local authentic culture and traditions accompanied by delightful experiences. If you want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Himalayas but aren’t fully prepared to take on challenging treks of the Annapurna region then this is just the perfect trip for you.
